The field beckons
With its trees sighing above me
Its leaves crunching below me
Its cactus needles in crazy directions
Its snow hushing the sounds
Its marsh sinking below me
Its grasslands waving before me
Its vistas inspiring
Its skies breathtaking
Beyond the pavement
Over the next ridge
Mine are the only footprints
The field beckons
